It was starting to get dusk when I went outside to talk to my Brother who was cutting next doors lawn. I was actually pulling his leg by asking if he would like to hold a torch whilst he finished the lawn.
Looking up I noticed the sky was clearing and there was a lot of aircraft movement high above. Being chilly the vapour trails looked fantastic, highlighted by the low sun. This aircraft had crossed the Atlantic and heading for Heathrow and I wondered how many of the passengers were Homeward Bound.
@dizzyd@philcameron59 Thank you both for your comments, and Phil, what do you mean, we are not that sort of family. He certainly got up a head of steam with the mower.
