I was resting yesterday afternoon and must have closed my eyes. Suddenly I heard a noise outside and grabbed my camera. There doing loop the loops was this old aircraft which I managed to capture although it flew quite high above my home.
What was it, had I been dreaming of aircraft from the First World War or had I had to many sherries for lunch. I came back inside and the television was on, so I knew it wasn't a dream. After downloading the picture I was able to look the number up on Google and found the following information:
It was in fact a Flitzer Z-21 which is a British self-build aircraft designed by Lynn Williams and supplied by Flitzer Sportplanes of Aberdare, Wales, as plans for amateur construction. The aircraft is a fabulous would-be period piece from the 1920s, powered by a Volkswagen engine.
Well that information, like the aircraft, flew right over my head, I'm sure someone is spying on me, better have another sherry.
