I thought this was a lovely big duck sat on the river bank that flows through the local park, quiet, shy and well behaved. Well that was until I noticed the tattoo of a bat on it's chest and realised that it was the local rocker and a bit of a hard knock.
Sorry, got carried away with my imagination again after seeing all the normal male and female mallards swimming around. This is a Muscovy Duck and is quite big compared to all the other water fowl in the park, and I think it's orange socks are rolling down.
Would I be quackers to have a bat tattoo on my chest, just think I could jump up and down and it would look as if the bat was flying. View with the black background.
Good shot. There's stray Muscovy duck in the park near me - it's always on its own. Figure the other ducks doesn't understand its Spanish quacking and they just view it as an immigrant, poor little thing!
