Not the most flattering photograph, but I had to celebrate another landmark in my geocaching journey. There will soon come a time when I just can't do this any more, so while I'm still able to get out into the countryside I will enjoy every moment of it.
I was in a small wood on top of the Cotswold Hills on a trackway going down into a valley, the perfume of wild garlic was fantastic. Three old gentleman hikers came up the track towards me so after a quick chat I used them to take this special picture. They were from the city of Bristol and were out enjoying our countryside.
As for this photograph, well I think the camera case strap could have been better placed and I must get some small clothes, it's all hanging off me. It was then onward to a couple more caches before heading home, Oh I do love the outside world.
PS. After a call from a friend - OK I'll ditch the baggy jeans, they keep falling down anyway.
Wonderful story to go along with this special keepsake !! This 365 project has taken me outdoors and appreciating nature more so I can imagine what 700 trips out to find something has done for you....lol. Enjoy
700 congratulations. What a great interest. Our country woman's association (CWA) studies a country each year and this year we are studying the Midlands of England as the world conference of woman is to be held there. Being a woman after your own heart I chose to dress as Lady Magpie, Geocacher as my costume for the day and introduced the sport to our group. It was a new concept for most of the group but we do have Geocaching in Australia.
I have a similar problems with jeans, only now I can get back into ones that I couldn't have before. Retirement is so much fun.
