I've been looking after my neighbours garden while they were away and I spotted that the bees were very active on the rockery next to the pond.
It must get very boring for the bees that every time they stick their heads inside a flower all they get is nectar. I do expect each flower gives a slightly flavoured nectar, but it would be like me putting my head in the freezer all the time and coming out with just different flavoured ice-cream.
I know I have some strange thoughts, but fancy having ice-cream for every meal - perhaps that's not a bad idea as long as I get Rum and Raisin sometimes.

Awesome macro - love all the textures. I think that nothing but ice cream would work for me for a few days - after that I'd be desperate for salt, anything with salt!!!
This is a great shot Heather and I love your random thoughts. They make me smile and I'm sure if I were a bee I'd appreciate a change of diet periodically!!
