Through the Old Door. by ladymagpie

Through the Old Door.

This was taken the other day when I visited one of the old cloth mills and shows the actual date of when the mill opened, It's therefore exactly 200 years old, don't sing Happy Birthday.

The door has gone through some damage in it's life and metal plates have been added to the bottom section. Just think of the thousands of workers who have trudged through in the early mornings and gone out in the evening darkness.

Thank you for your comments and FAV's for my orchid yesterday. Please bear with me as I'm doing my live coverage of my clubs football match and will get to your pictures as soon as I can.

UPDATE: Forest Green Rovers 3 - 1 Dover Athletic.
Yes, the photo tells a story. I like the brickwork. Our son's birthday today - not 200 years old!!
