I just had to rake up another old farm machine and this is just another interesting one. There is something fascinating about the mechanics that keeps me interested, probably as I was trained as a Mechanical Engineer many many years ago.
As I travel around the lanes near my home I always slow down near farms to search them out, or stop in field entrances if I spot something. This is an old horse drawn rake used after the fields been ploughed and the Winter has broken up the soil. I would love one of these old machine in my front garden, unfortunately it's only big enough for a wheelbarrow. Best viewed with the dark surround.
Thank you all for your recent comments and FAV's, you're still keeping me going.
Nice, enjoy your commentary it really adds dimension to the image for me. That rakes looks like it is still being used. Mechanical engineer wow, you are very smart. In my younger days I would give engineers down the road as we tried to impliment their plans. As I matured and had opportunities to do some engineering I learned quickly it is not as easy as I once thought. My background is telephony network.
