I love to sit out on my patio, see yesterdays picture, with my camera on hand watching the wildlife and birds flying around. Suddenly I spotted a creature that had landed on a neighbours garage roof.
I had often seen pigeons, doves, blackbirds and various smaller birds up there, but on closer inspection I realised it was a very rare Greater Spotted Bigbird wandering around search for an odd pie or sausage roll.
It's search was obviously fruitless but due to it's size it was having problems taking off again so the home owner called the RSPCB (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Bigbirds) to come to it's rescue. A van arrived and it was helped off the roof by way of a extra strengthen ladder.
This story is told, with no disrespect to the man, and can I also claim that the heat must be getting to me.
