A Robbing Robin by ladymagpie

A Robbing Robin

Well with it being a rather wet day, I decided to sit in my porchary and take pictures of my feeders. Yesterday I had my first green finch but haven't managed a good picture yet, but I did get one new bird today.

I was filling up the feeders when this robin sat on the railings only a few feet away. It was waiting for me to fill the cage with the mealworms which I obliged before going inside to grab my camera and sit on my indoor perch.

The mealworms are for the sparrows but this robin wasn't letting them in whilst he had taken enough to fly off to his nest. He must have a few youngsters as he was back and forth most of the day.

It is my favourite bird so I didn't mind, even if I'm a Lady Magpie.
