I always think there is something sinister about these big birds and I try not to encourage them into my garden. I have to admit that I set up this capture by placing some suet bits on the table, then sitting inside my porch with the blinds almost right down and crouching behind my clotheshorse.
Every time I see one of these big birds I can hear the music from Jaws, or in this case it's more like Claws. You can see the rain it's still quite heavy, and this poor jackdaw was soaking wet, never mind he had a quick snack before heading off to it's nest.
Yes they look rather evil I always think....poor things! I find these birds & crows quite nervous, always watching out of the corners of their eyes at what might be round the corner.
