Cotswold Dry Stone Wall gives Birth. by ladymagpie

Cotswold Dry Stone Wall gives Birth.

Back in September I gave you the picture, (seen on the left) of the pregnant Cotswold stone wall that was very pregnant at the time.

As promised I have been keeping an eye on this wall waiting for the sudden birth. Unfortunately I missed the moment as the baby stones came out at night, something that often happens and is never captured.

On the right hand picture you can see that it was a rather serious birth and the poor wall is just waiting for the midwife (known as a dry stone mason) to help the it back to it's original beauty.

The baby walls have been removed and have been adopted to grow up and make many more Cotswold Dry Stone walls in our lovely district.

Again I might have been dreaming a bit.
