You have to have some Bottle.

I've always thought through my life that you have to have some bottle when challenging yourself in hobbies or work. Saying that I risked myself by abseiling down a 300ft quarry face on Dartmoor, motor rallying at night in Wales and big yacht racing on the Firth of Forth in Scotland.

I expect there have been many more times I've put myself in danger, you don't think about it do you. So what's this got to do with today's picture.

Well you will need some bottle to visit me, not in the form of having nerve or acting boldly, but a bottle in the form of glass and liquid. Now in fact I hardly drink these days, perhaps a glass of wine once in a blue moon, or at Christmas.

In this picture you will see wines that are years old and the top right one in the rack is a bottle of Champagne given to me from a French visitor in 1983. The three bottles standing in the wooden frame were given to me when I visited a company in Vienna in the 90's, it's an Austrian Schnapps which blows your head off and I have finished one bottle off, many years ago.

I'm sure, along with my cupboard of spirits, that some day I could mix a good alcoholic punch to celebrate winning the National Lottery, yes I'm dreaming again.

Those Schnapps bottles are beautiful! Perhaps you should come up for a challenge for yourself in order to crack that awesome bottle of champagne! Maybe the end of lock down or a sky diving adventure.

You are getting behind Heather....drink up! I’m sure you would get someone to help you polish that off fast enough! Contrary to public perception....why do I always get loads of gin on birthdays & Christmas....I don’t drink a lot! Well I have a G&T every night with my evening meal but nothing else. Not too keen on wine, it diesnt agree with me so I tend to leave well alone. You need a friend to help you out!!

We all have to have a dream mine is like yours. We need to downsize but my problem is that I need a bigger house!
When I visit I shall bring a bottle because I also have a lot of bottle😘
