This morning I had to go down to my neighbouring village to post a parcel and decided to capture this old cottage on my way back. It's looking nice and tidy for a 330 year old building, but as my title says, "Age is just a Number".
Built in 1790 and I wonder who has lived here over those years. It's certainly looks loved today but has had a few alterations. I would say it was originally a child's drawing of a house, two windows up top and two below, with the front door in the middle.
You can see that the front has been filled in and a porch built over one of the downstairs window, now the front door, plus the added extension to the left had side.
Now remember that age is just a number, that's what I keep telling myself with all my aches and pains. Perhaps I should make many more alterations to myself to keep me going, although I do tell people that I have had so many operations in my life that I'm just leaving this earth a bit at a time.
