Yesterday I had a message from a geocaching friend who has a geocache in my village. I may have mentioned it before but it's called "Lady Magpie", and was dedicated to me for our friendship over the years.
Unfortunately it had gone missing again and I was asked if I could go and check it out. I decided to take a new container with a log sheet along with me and also found a camouflage bag to put it in.
I'm not walking to good at the moment, so decided to take it easy with several rest stops on the way. At one point at the entrance to this lane I was passed by 3 very large horses, 2 ridden and one being lead just for a exercise walk.
The original container had gone missing so I replaced it in a slightly different location. I then made my way home and took this capture in what is called Coombe Lane. As you can see that even though we are in Autumn the greenery is still there and the place is so peaceful.
Home at last and after getting my breath back, I contacted my friend to say it was up and running and that he should update the details with a new clue and the geocache size.
Good grief I've been serious today and not poetic at all, I'm not sure how long I can keep sensible.
But the photo is nice, though!
I went hunting geocaches. I prefer those hidden somewhere in nature.
I went for one that was supposed to be by a school. I have a hunch as to where it is. But I could not pull it out. It was weird, because it was within the fence of the school and I was afraid someone might ask me what I was doing - in case that was not the geocache. That one put me off a bit. But the ones in the park were a treat, as they were not very easy to find. I also don't like the ones that are placed too high. Two so far. But all in all, it is fun.
@monikozi Tell me your name you are using for geocaching, mine Is Lady-Magpie as always. I can look you up and friend you. Don't forget I can help you after 11 years and 921 found.
I think you did extremely good work today! Who ever moved your geocache picked the wrong persons patch….Queen of the geocache is not to be messed with!
(Keep the nice poetry coming! 😌😎)

Very cool that you have a geocache named after you.
