It’s out and about closer to home here, again searching for a geocache along a lane that I had never been a long before. I have lived in my valleys for 60 plus years and didn't even know this place existed.
As I walked along the last part of the lane before it turned into farmland, I spotted this lovely view across a smaller valley that I had been in before. The church in view is The Church of Annunciation at the Woodchester Priory which opened in 1849 for the Roman Catholic group called The Passionists. The Dominicans took over in 1850 and add a monastery 5 years later; unbelievable it was demolished in 1970 leaving just the church.
As I've said before, this geocaching got me to some wonderful places, wish I could still do some of these remote ones today but have to stick to ones close to the roads.
Very nice view. I have checked some geocaches cliser to me. There are a bunch of them in the town cemetery. And i can't pull myself to go there. I'm not scared or anything... i'm just lazy...
