It will soon be Christmas Day, and for many it's a visit to their local church for the morning service before returning home for that Christmas dinner. This is Bussage Church, known as St Michael’s of all Angels, standing on high ground above the Stroud Valleys. It was built and consecrated in 1846, and must be in one of the prettiest places to have a church.
The lane is very quiet so therefore wildlife can be heard in the trees and woodland. For the congregation there may be some steep hills to climb back home, but just think how much nicer the Christmas Dinner and a glass of wine would be.
