NewBeginningsCollage 4 MarySiegle

My get-pushed-336 partner @mcsiegle challenged me make a photo to show new beginnings. This sweet potato plant given to me has struggled to survive in my cold drafty home until recently stopped dropping dark leaves and growing new bright leaves...hooray new growth beginning. Thanks Mary for this challenge.
Great response to your challenge! I have never seen a sweet potato plant before......

@365anne Thanks for commenting. Sweet tater plants can't seem to handle too much water or too little water and need warmth and lots of sun. My friend who gifted me this plant starts them in her green house from the tater itself. She has lovely full plants. But mine has had a hard time here with winter single digit temps outside make a drafty home even in our small 100+ year old ranch house..

A challenge well met. Never knew that sweet taters were so touchy.

@joysabin I thought I had a green thumb until this little sweet tater darling arrived and busted that bubble......Also I was thrilled to see your window rock Shot...such a wonderful earth energy place. Did you get to the Tribal Zoological Park? Years ago we gave the park a flock of pure blood Churro sheep. And I am curious what pups do you deliver/pickup meeting at Lunden? Can't help being nosey when it comes to critters.

Perfect response to the challenge! I've also never had a sweet potato plant (Plants in general don't do well under my care.) Hooray for the new growth. Mission accomplished (challenge-wise) and fingers crossed for continued thriving of the plant.

@mcsiegle Thanks Mary. I sure hope it can make it to spring and it can append some time out doors on warm days
