Quéribus

Continuing my Cathar castle project. I've been to Quéribus before, and posted photos. However, it was blazingly obvious that the best photos, the ones showing its strategic importance, would be from above. Which meant climbing onto the ridge behind it. So today I put on my big boy pants and did it. Was I scared? More than Spiderman, I suppose, but less than Scooby Doo!

What a staggering view of that castle. Reminds me of a similar castle in Israel. Great photo. It was worth the hike to get the Photo from this angle.

@moonmtn Good question! The left mountain is Canigou and the middle range is the Haute Cerdagne. They drop down to a high alpine valley and then rise again to the Pyrenees proper. I think I have seen them described as the pre-Pyrenees.
