Lots of rivers run down from the Pyrenees into the sea, and in almost every valley there is a romanesque chapel of some sort. All are intact or restored, apart from the Chapelle de Roca Vella in our valley. The village moved after the Black Death and this chapel got left behind. It was founded in the 9th Century and was the principal village chapel until the 14th. I guess it was scavenged for materials for the farmhouse just up the road. I pass it often but this morning's fog seemed to make it a bit more photogenic.
