When the Confinement was introduced, there was permission to take exercise outside. Unfortunately people were interpreting this too liberally; 10 km runs, driving to the beach or walking along crowded promenades, 50 km bike rides with the cycle club etc. So things were toughened up on Monday and now we are allowed out once/day, on our own, within 1 km of the house and for no more than one hour.
This passerelle is now at the limit of our territory, but a 1 km radius includes a lot of area and Jasper is fortunate to still have access to quite a bit of mountain and woodland, several vineyards, the sports field and the camping ground. To best avoid others I use my one hour between 12h and 14h, which in France means most people will be at home eating lunch. And today, in the rain, we met nobody at all, Hurray !
It is really interesting to read how different countries take different, yet similar measures... And how people tend to make it even worse. We don't have restrictions about going out, but they had to close all the parks and public outdoor spaces. couse people were hanging out.. Let's se what happens when weather gets nice. New set of restrictions I am afraid.... You are lucky that you can have such a nice walk!
It appears Jasper isn't bothered by anything! So great that you are able to provide him the opportunity to get wet and muddy during this challenging time! He looks to be his usual happy self!
We just found out that we can not hike in state parks either. But luckily my property backs up to some unmarked paths .Jasper looks happy to be out and about regardless!
