The Estelada Blava by laroque

The Estelada Blava

Above our village, in the mountains, there are four or five plots of land, inhabited by a strange bunch of people, called "marginals" here. Their plots are unserviced and they live "off-grid" in old camper vans or cabins built from this or that. They are all a bit odd. The fellow who lives here has adopted a sort of Indian fakir persona, complete with a red dot on his forehead. They are not dangerous and there is no hostility to them, and they come into the village and mix. This flag appeared recently. It is the Estelada Blava and is the symbol of Catalan independence, which is a big thing on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees, but here on the French side is more of a minority activity for weirdos.
How interesting!
