He looks fine!! Did he get the ear clip - it doesn't look like it here.

@ninaganci Hard on the outside, soft on the inside;) Sometimes Joshi is a bit aggressive, but at the bottom of his heart he is sweet and gentle, I'm sure. He probably didn't have many oppotunities to show it. I'm happy that he decided to make friends with me. He's a good guy ♥

@robz Yes, a little piece of his left ear has been cropped, but if you don't know it, you wouldn't notice. We had two cats in our garden for some years, they both were caught and neutered by the shelter. Nearly a third of the ear was cut off 😖 okay, maybe a quarter...but it was much.
Joshi's ear clip is as small as the white area of a fingernail.
Believe it or not: my cat Mietzi has the same ear clip as Joshi. I thought it was a little injury from a fight ;)

@lastrami_ It is such a good idea to have such an easily identifiable way to tell if they have been neutered or not. Over here they tend to put a tiny tattoo inside the ear - not much use on an animal that you can't get too close to..... Thanks for the info and I'm pleased it all seems to have worked out well.:)

@robz You're totally right: if it's a feral cat, you would probably have to catch her again to find and read the tattoo (which means a lot of stress for the animal). After years, some tattoos aren't readable anymore.
A permanent marking like the ear clip or/and a microchip is the best solution in my opinion.
If it's a tomcat, you can see if he's neutered - but spayed female cats often don't have any visible scars if it's made well. A marking saves them from a second surgery.
Have a nice weekend :)
