Joshua was here, and I was happy to see him. Seems as if he caught a cold :-\ The nights are cold now, and I don't know where he sleeps. Let's hope it is just a minor ailment and that he's in good form again soon.
@robz I'm not quite sure, but I think they do. The feral cats I had outside used to sleep where they felt safe (some of them in the cat house, the others in our garage).
They defended these places against other stray cats.
I think, when you're a street cat, a safe and dry place to sleep is of great value. If you would search a new place for taking a nap every time, you wouldn't know if there are other cats (or martens, humans, whatever...) who could chase you away. If you are acquainted with your sleeping place, you can relax better. You know the noises and odours around you... and you know when it's time to leave this place. I can't explain better what I mean, sorry. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sweet boy! I hope he has a safe warm place. I remember coming home and seeing Katniss under my husband’s car. But at the time I didn’t know she was homeless and a stray.
