I always wondered where robins go in the summer. The answer is that they hang around tea rooms! Well this one was anyway - very tame and picking up the crumbs at the Orchard Tearooms in Grantchester. He is standing on the wooden shelf where you put your trays - he certainly looks well fed! For a picture of the gardens of the tearooms see my other album for today.
I love robins and this is a beautiful capture Laura. If you look at my albums, you will see that they are also a favourite subject of mine although I haven't posted one for a couple of weeks or so
I love everything about this shot. The horizontal grooves in the wood, the blue paint that just makes Mr. Robin's red vest pop out, and the way he has his middle talon just hanging over the edge. FAV!
I was just checking out the Popular Pg. This is the one that made me want to follow you! Love it! Looking forward to seeing your great pics and it's so nice to meet you! :)
@lauralatham I had a bird post just like that: had to come in the house, change lenses and go back outside. He was very patient for me! Yay, birds when they're that patient for us!
Great shot, lovely to see and his little red breast contrasts perfectly with the green wood. I have not seen a robin all winter but now 'summer' has started I have one that pops into the garden daily!
@butterflz @clareannbrady thanks!
@cromwell thanks for the comments - I love the way you noticed things I didn't (like the talon!)
thanks everyone for your positive comments and fav's. Mr Robin made it to the pop page (but not for long, think he's gone now..) this was one of those 'aahh my camera's in my bag, he'll have gone by the time I get it out', but he hung around just long enough!
