We spent an afternoon crabbing on Blakeney Harbour with a variety of nets and lines and of course bacon. Who knows why crabs go mad for bacon - it's not as if they come across it otherwise! Once we had finished crabbing and put them all back again (in order to be caught by the next person with a net!) we chucked the bits of unused bacon to the seagulls - who also love it!
@maggiemae lol, for a vegetarian, baiting the lines for crabs with bacon was a bit uncomfortable, but still - no crabs were harmed and the pig was dead anyway!!
