got some good shots today!!! of all of them though, I chose this one because it was colorful and unique out of all the pictures I took. It is a shot from Seashore State Park...my goal was to take a bunch of pictures of the moss stuff (the white stringy stuff hanging down from the branches..what is that called anyway? moss? lol) to have a variety of pictures to choose from for the eerie theme...there were also swampy parts in the campground too (and I did get shots of all of this) but I decided to add this bright sunshiny one instead ;)
I'm not sure if what you see in the picture is a bunch of colorful sunrays...or a weird looking rainbow...but I like it :D
Anyways...so today was just as fun as yesterday!! After we woke up, I took a shower (which felt sooo good to clean my sandy, crusty, ocean hair haha I shampooed twice and conditioned 3 times before it felt clean enough although now I have "pool hair"...it was nice having soft good-smelling hair though for the first part of the day ;D) so after breakfast and all...we drove to Seashore State Park...it is a campground...but it has great biking trails and a calm beach so we just bought a day pass so we could spend a while there. We biked nearly 6 miles!!! (my legs were on fire haha) but I am proud to say I did it. Along the trails there are neat looking swampy areas of which I got some good pictures (I think I annoyed the boys though because I kept wanting to stop haha the camera bag was strapped to the back of my bike so it took forever to grab it out, change lenses, walk around to take the desired shot..etc...but now I wont regret taking the shots I wouldnt have gotten if I hadnt stopped :D)...and there was a lot of moss stuff hanging off the trees. It wasnt my first time going there, but I always have fun revisiting and reliving memories.
Then we went to the beach in Seashore State Park...I chose to lay out and to take pictures of the water while Quinten and Sean went swimming. My dad sat out too...he read a book...it was nice and relaxing.
After we left we just went swimming in the pools and chilled in the hot tub...by the end of all that exercise...I'm pooped once again and about to hit the sheets :)
but I hope you are all having a great week!! I may add another picture from today later...I took too many to not share :P actually I may add this one of me on the beach...my dad took it, but I cropped it and added a neat looking effect. I like the processing...hmmm... we'll see :)
oooh I think you caught a ghost! :) really beautiful Lauren and sounds like another wonderful day. I know my husband is already making comments about when we go hiking - how I have to stop and take so many pictures. He just doesn't understand. :)
Bill - oh I'm glad you loved it too!! thank you :)
Samantha - thanks!!
Bonnie - no...no he doesnt :) I guess he'll have to live with it..maybe he'll get it...eventually ;)
So cool! the plant is called "Spanish Moss" but it's actually a bromeliad relative or something like that, my boyfriend just told me lol. We have some on our balcony. I LOVE the rainbow sun rays also :)
I just LOOOOOOVVVEEE this!
That rainbow splash is so magnificent that I am making it another fav!
You have such a brilliant eye, and wonderful vibrant way of looking at the world.
Your attitude and magical adventures are infectious, and your artistry is inspired.
Bravo, Grasshopper! XO
What an utterly amazing picture, that Moss looks quite delicate in the photo. But the crown is the Rainbow. WOW! It's almost not a Rainbow that we know cause colours are not there but what else could it be, a
different spectrum, of the Suns Rays? Superb always Lauren.
It seems to me that all your stresses have been cast to the wind these past few days. This is such a lovely picture, I can almost feel the sun's rays and smell the trees. Happy times!
Yes, I see wonderful colors and a bizarre looking rainbow. It has great elements. The striped colors grabbed my eye right away and I just had to take a look at the rest of the photo.
Great shot! While you're down there, you should swing by William and Mary! It's where I'm going to school. Trust me, a billion and one amazing photo opportunities!
Lauren I missed this picture? wow it's beautiful. Reading what you ad above the beautiful portrait of your friend, I'm looking at all your calendar. Wow you are so talented, so young, so creative. I don't know if you want to be a photographer but you surely have many talents for that. (sorry for my bad english, hope you understand what I wanted to say)
