okay, not the best quality everr, but this was one of the first times I actually went out and used a tripod to take selfportraits. It is SO hard to get that focus right!! ...but I still, love all the golden parts of the photo :) isn't the light of the setting sun so beautiful??
good news: THEY VOTED ME IN AT ARTWORKS!!! :D :D
I told you guys I'd keep you updated :) I really hope I like this "job". I only have to work one hour a week: Saturdays from 8pm-9pm. I feel so responsible because I will be running the little store all by myself :) I will get a key to it and have to lock it up all by myself. I don't feel old enough to have that resonsibility, but I guess I'm a big girl now ;) well, I know I can do it... I just don't feel I LOOK old enough so I dont ever FEEL my age. just like I don't look like a senior... but I'm sure feeling the stress of it. THATS for sure. ask my dad. I nearly had an emotional break down last night. I hate those but my Dad made me feel better. PLUS I needed some sleep haha
Anyways... I am adding this somewhat old picture because I will have NO time to take/add a picture other than this. I am studying with a friend right after school, and than soon after that I am going into Artworks to be "trained". I have to go in to work with somebody for 3 three-hour sessions I guess you could call them, so I can learn the routine and then work by myself. So I have one tonight, one on Saturday, and another one again on Monday, and then I start working the weekend after THIS weekend!!
Now I just need to get more prints of my photography, frame/mat them, and fill my wall :)
Lauren, I'm soooo proud of you for being voted in. You'll do a fabulous job! I have no doubt about that. Before you know it, you'll probably have your own store. Let us know how the trainings go. Praying for you. Love this photo. Like the golden colors and beautiful backlighting.
Awesome shot of and by the Light Queen! I'm very proud of you for working so hard at your photograpy skills and you can see that even now it is starting to pay off. This is just the beginning, you have only begun to tap into your talent. Focus and stay strong and you will go far.

I cannot find anything unique to say - I was going to comment on the beautiful effect through your lovely long hair, but that was already said too. So I'll just say the beautiful lighting effects on the grasses and your hair makes a truely delightful golden photo.
Way to go. You have to be trained, huh, interesting. I would not be surprised at all if you ended up teaching your teacher a thing or two, you are so far ahead of the curve when it comes to photography. I knew you would get the chance, make the most of it, and good luck.
I love how the light of the sun looks in this shot. :)
and YAY for you!! congratulations!!
