although just a weed, I think this is one of the most beautiful flowers. I'm not sure what they're called, but everytime I take a walk in the late summer months, these beautiful, fragile, weeds glow and glisten under the falling sunlight alongside the road. I love how delicate they look. They remind me of my love for dandelions... why would somebody want to rid of such beautiful flowers?! :)
Today I am posting earlier than usual... during the first half of the day... how's that for productive? :) Speaking of productive... that's how I plan to go through the day. Getting stuff done. Even though I dont have a job and it's just summer vacation for me... I have a lot to do and a lot of things I could and should be doing. I feel like I've wasted a lot of my summer just sleeping and taking my time and browsing the net. I hate that. I want to feel accomplished at the end of the summer. After all, college starts in less than a month! how can that be?! The time will be here before I know it.
@saaski - oh thank you so much! I was unsure of how well people would like this photo. It's so simple. but thats what I loved about it. even though the picture itself seems simple... look how intricate and delicate the single weed is! :)
I think that it's important that you are resting and relaxing. You will be busy soon enough. You need to get recharged and relaxing is the way to do this. So, don't panic....
i am totally with you on that second paragraph.. i want to feel accomplished at the end of the summer... and i am faaaaar from it :/ and while i sit around it doesn't exactly help either... lol >.<
this is so beautiful!! :D
@lauren211 the story of Queen Anne's Lace is, if you notice most all of them have a dark dot in the middle or almost the middle of each cluster, that is suppose to have been the Queens blood, she pricked her finger while crocheting the lace and a drop of blood feel to the middle...hence the drop in the middle of each ....
Amazinggg :) It seems these flowers are everywhere - I've seen them grow on the sides of the road here in Australia, and also in Southern Italy when I was there in 2008!
I dont know why I keep missing your shots! promise it's the home page's fault, or time differences! I totally love this shot! so beautiful and elegant :)
Beautiful picture! So delicate!
