Same Sky, New Atmosphere

I know this isn't much... heck.. none of my photos have been that great the past few months haha I dont know why I am so drawn to such simplistic aspects of nature.. especially lately... but it is what it is I guess..

Is it lack of inspiration? Is it lack of time? Or is the lack of time a pitty excuse? Maybe not an intentional excuse... but I bet I could find the time and get my creative juices flowing if I would prioritize and stop getting so distracted with everything this life keeps throwing my way.

So some of you know that I've struggled with a little computer problem for about a week or so now (hence me not uploading for a week haha)... so I came home this weekend for one, because my roommate did so I hitched a ride with her.. but for two... to figure out why my computer won't let me do ANYTHING on it because of a hard disk space issue!

In Muncie, IN where I go to college, I had mulitiple people look at it: friends.. computer science majors... the tech team that works on campus...

Nobody could seem to target the problem.

The techteam was about to have me wipe out my computer completely and then reload everything back on it because they had never seen anything like it before.. but thank GOODNESS I came back home this weekend and had the Geek Squad at Best Buy take a look at it. It was my Dad's idea to take it there because he knew wiping out my computer would be a huuuuge pain in the butt... and I'm glad we did because I think one of the super smart tech people there found the issue...

He is thinking that it is a problem with Spotify. He asked if I had ever used it and I said, "No, not at all... so how can that be the issue??" He told me, "Because you have the new Lion operating system, Spotify tracks every move and click you make with your mouse. The computer tracks it, known as indexing, and overtime the build up of indexes became so large that even if you turn your computer off you cannot clear the space."
So in the end, I learned I should have powered down my computer more often than I did so that the computer would have a chance to wipe itself clean... but he said with the right disks he could fix the issue, however, i left the disks that went to my Mac in Muncie SOOO... it'll be a while longer before my computer will be back to normal :(

And even then, he isn't 100% sure this will fix the problem, but chances are high that it will.

I'm hoping!!

Anyways, about the title. It's weird to think that here, at home, I am under the exact same sky... what's different is just the over all atmosphere. Its amazing how different things are and operate around here as opposed to being in college. I miss being home and taking pictures around here.. but it reminds me that I should really take advnatage of all of the new picture taking opportunities a whole new city has to offer me. Transporation is the problem.. but I'm sure I could figure something out if I was commited to.
Great looking sky with some moody looking clouds. love it!

Wow! Thank you for posting this about your computer problems. I have been having mega problems with mine as well and I don't power down my computer either. I will have to try doing this more.

And I understand fully about the inspiration. I am having trouble focusing as well. Just try to remember to take time for yourself as well. I think that's important too. I love the sky!

Well, you might not think this is all that, but I love it! Simplicity is a great favorite of mine in photographs, though I don't think I do it well very often. I like how the trees kind of seem to be reaching for the sky. Or something. (:

you call them simplistic, but when I look at them, I see nothing of the sort, these are still high quality shots, you have an eye for making the 'simplistic' very appealing.

Lauren-If you ever have a problem with a Mac, go to the support groups on the Apple site. The generous volunteers there will take the time and have the knowledge to fix almost anything I had a problem with the newest iPhoto update crashing and turned to Apple support groups and they pinpointed a conflict between a preference file from an old program I no longer used. It solved the problem immediately and it was 2 weeks more before Apple provided a software update and the company with the conflict also came up with a fix. So you see, the volunteers were there first.

@lauren211 Yeah haha, I used to try so hard and then eventually it just was a little bit to much to add to a busy busy day, so I try to do sets once or twice a week so I have some pictures to throw up.
