I just got home today - spent last night in a small Alberta town three hours from home. There were so many of these fields on the way to and from. I really like the way these expansive fields of yellow look, so decided to take a picture.
Originally this shot had a very overexposed sky, but a few days ago I learned a new "trick" (thanks to Scott Kelby) to fix the problem and darken only the top sky portion. Probably an easy skill for many, but I was pretty excited!
*I still have a few pictures to edit and upload (July 15th and 16th) and then will have time to catch up on viewing and commenting - I hate when I get behind. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Great shot Lauren. I know exactly what you mean. I took one of a canola field today. I was driving back home from Red Deer with stops in Withro and Bentley. The landscape is so wonderful this time of year
Great shot! I LOVE canola fields too!!! ESPECIALLY on stormy days when the sky is dark yet the sun is shining brightly on the yellow making it look like a sheet of lights!!!
@catsmeowb sorry Camille i just noticed you asked a question here, i've gotten so behind on replying to comments and feel bad! i darkened just the sky by using the Gradient feature in photoshop elements.
