Okay, this may very well be one of the worst pictures I've ever posted, but really it was this or nothing :)
My husband and I discovered this in the bathroom of our hotel on the weekend, and it was a topic of debate all weekend. Neither of us has ever seen one of these and so we were very confused and curious.
"it's some sort of strange toilette!" I would say
"No way! i think it's suppose to be for washing your feet or something" my husband would argue.
After some extensive research (calling my mom and asking her), I've come to learn that this is called a Bidet and is neither a toilette nor a foot bath...
@hjbenson thanks Harry! @anron hahaha i looked on wikipedia and yep apparently it IS popular in Europe but not here... only in nicer hotels my mom said - which goes to show i normally do not stay in nice hotels :D
@jodimuli oh yes! it is the perfect height for a dog! wow this can have so many uses: toilette, foot bath, water dish for dog, water fountain for @bobfoto oh yes and bidet. very versatile.
haha this brings back memories of lots of teasing people whay it did. My frined thought it was a kids wash basin & the water hit the ceiling when he turned it on :)
@spthorne hahaha oh that's funny! well fortunately this one didn't shoot water that high! i thought it could be a wash basin too once i realized that it couldn't be used as a toilette haha :)
Every photo has meaning, and there is never a 'bad' photo, just days when its more challenging than others. This made me smile,especially the comments. :-)
@orangecrush well Jerry, unfortunately i didn't learn what it was until after we checked out of the hotel or else I definitely would have tried it out just for the novelty of it! haha
