This is embarrassing, but I have no idea what the name of this flower is. When we first bought our house 19 years ago, I was so excited to have a yard where I could plant a garden that I went a bit crazy that first spring when I started my first perennial garden. This plant was one that I bought all those years ago and now you've made me curious. It's actually not incredibly showy when viewed as part of the big picture, but I really loved how the close up let it shine. Isn't that true for so many people and things?
