My world is about to get a little less colorful. Today was my last day with my oldest daughter, Jess, and my granddaughter, Skylar, before they move to San Francisco. We're leaving tomorrow morning for a long planned for camping trip in Maine, so they will stay at our house for a few days and then they are off to their new life on the opposite coast on the Fourth of July. I'm going to miss them so much...
Well, my dear, this is the perfect excuse for you to make a trip out west to San Francisco, then down to LA for a 365 meet and shoot! Your sunshines are so beautiful! Have a great time in Maine and book a ticket soon! I promise it will make you feel better! :-)
Beautiful portrait! I know that's hard when they move so far away, but it is still reachable. Enjoy your camping trip and start planning your visit to the west coat!
Awwww, I'm so sorry Laurie. I'll make sure California welcomes them with loving compassionate arms. And think San Fran is a GORGEOUS city to photograph on your visits
Oh that's no good at all! You will be doing lots of trips to San Fran I imagine! What a shame they are going- is it for a job, or love, or adventure? Skylar will miss you too! You are going to have to take lots of therapeutic photos over the next few weeks! Enjoy your camping trip!
i know that this was a day that you were dreading...i am so sorry..but now you get to come and visit us in California. SF is a fabulous city.....and you can swing down to LA too.... skype is going to be your new Best friend... thinking of you
That's a tough one, Laurie. On the bright side, the world seems smaller these days. Skype is handy to stay in touch. And isn't there some comparison articles that need to be written on SanFran vs CapeCod?
my heart is just breaking for you. I cannot imagine. I'm not even going to say anything else because it's just too tender to go there. Suffice it to say this is a beautiful portrait of your loves. And I wish them (and you) the best on their new chapter.
Oh, that is going to be a hard adjustment...living on the other coast. I'm sorry, and I see why your photo is in B&W. It is beautiful, and something to frame to think of them often.
