If there is a top 20 for hardest conditions to upload, I'm pretty sure I'd win this week. I'm sitting in a tent in the pouring rain in Maine, after spending an hour sitting in our Jeep while a crazy wind storm/thunderstorm came through, praying our tent wouldn't blow away. Of course this storm appeared about 15 minutes before we were done cooking dinner. Sigh...but the early morning was so peaceful. About 20 Canadian Geese swam right by and I chased them from shore to dock to dock. Wish I had a better zoom and a better light right now so I could actually see this photo, but this is the best I can do for today.
This is a great shot! It looks like such a peaceful morning. Too bad the weather had other plans for the rest of the day. Hopefully you don't get soaked overnight!
Lol, well, I guess it's not nice to laugh ... but still, it's funny, especially since I'm not the one bouncing from tent to jeep to tent ... your electronics survived the rain, and you did too. All is well. Amazing pic, even tho you can't see it properly. The calm water looks so peaceful, the geese are pretty and their reflections very pretty too. All you need now is a cooked supper.
That is what you call dedication. I'm glad your tent survived, and sorry dinner got rained out. Hopefully you had something to snack on later. This is a really peaceful shot, came out very nicely.
lordy, what a story of you against the elements! I bestow on you the prize for most difficult upload of the month! i LOVE the way this came out - the reflections are fantastic and the blue tones are so rich. great job. hope the weather clears up.
Sorry about that storm--some of my fondest memories were of rained on camping, lol. I remember one time watching a river just run through our tent...all night long
