My daughter Melissa and her boyfriend Daniel and Steve and I went down to Nauset Beach to check out the action. The wind was so strong you could lean into it and it would hold you up. I love this photo of Melissa embracing the storm with such exuberance. By the time Irene hit us, she had been downgraded to a tropical storm, so the damage so far has been limited to some downed trees and limbs. The wind is still blowing like crazy and the power keeps flickering, but I think we've escaped the worst of it.
oh thank goodness that you are okay...i was worried about you. thank you for the update. this shot is glorious...love that she is just living in the moment and letting the wind flow through her.
great shot!! Wellington (NZ) wind gets so strong you can literally lean against it and not fall down. glad it all turned out ok...well relative to the typhoon in the Philippines which was at the same time.
