After work today, my son and I packed up and headed for Vermont for some leaf peeping and apple picking...along with about a million other people, so traffic was bad and our trip way long. I stopped at the cranberry bog again on the way out of town to take some photos. The bog I posted yesterday has been completely picked, but this one is right next to it and the next one being harvested. My son liked the flash of purple that is usually hidden on this lady mallard, so there you have it. It's after 1 a.m. and I'm too tired to visit anyone tonight, but I'm happy to have a few days off (kind of) to catch up on all your lovely photos.
Sorry to hear you had such a long trip. Hope you have lots of fall color this weekend. Have fun with your mom. I'm sure you can't wait to pick a ton of apples and start canning. It's good you got to stop by the bog again on your way out of town. Great shot of this mallard. She is very pretty with her purple "racing stripes."
I agree with your son--the flash of purple makes it! Have a great few days off Laurie and get rejuvenated! Can't wait to see your fall and apple shots! :-)
i love seeing pieces of your part of the world. I mean who, around here, has ever had an opportunity to see a cranberry bog (except on the commercial)!? so cool. and this gal's panties are lovely, btw! have fun apple picking (photos, please).
