I decided to do a short bird series because all of a sudden there are birds everywhere. Canada Geese flying overhead in giant packs, huge gatherings of seagulls on rock jetties and an enormous flock of blackbirds in my yard (um, weirdly scary). I'm not sure if this little guy is a sandpiper or a sanderling, but I'm leaning towards the latter. They run like the wind and are incredibly shy of people, so I've been trying to capture one for a while. They are my favorite shore birds because they are so fun to watch.
Thank you so much for all your comments and faves on my shovel in sunset photo! And thank you, Lori, for telling me it made the pop page!
LH, I am so happy your shovel shot made the PP! Love your bird series. I am on a spider kick right now (the response is mostly "YUCK, EEWW, & GROSS). Oh well! Just trying to post the best shot I take everyday and still trying to find the "balance!" :-)
jealous of your awesome shot! :)
