I'm kind of grumpy because I am still working at 11:30 p.m. and that just isn't what I want to be doing right now. Today was cloudy and my first photo shoot just didn't yield anything. Every photo looked gray and dark. Then I saw the sky at 5:30 and headed for my nearest beach. The sunset photos were a bit ho-hum, and this was the last photo I shot just before getting in my car. A perfect V of Canada Geese flew overhead and even though you can't see them in the photo, that's why I took this shot. It ended up being the one I liked best,
The edge of the grass against the sky has a nice soft appearance to it, and agaisnt the beautiful color, you really can't go wrong with this one Laurie, but I do hear you. It can be frustrating when you go out to do some serious shooting and you come back dissatisfied with what you were able to get.
honey...you work so much and so hard.....i am glad you got out for this photo opportunity...look at that sky..so much color...light yet uncertainty ...
The dark colors are perfect for showing a grumpy-day attitude. It's beautiful. Hope your day tomorrow is filled with sunshine, both in the sky and in your life.
Aww, I hate when you have a blah day and feel like your photos reflect that (and if you're working that late, you have every right to be grumpy, by the way!). I do like the look of this, it actually looks quite peaceful. Go home and hop into a bubble bath, that always makes it all better (:
Sorry I missed this yesterday. You posted it late and then I didn't comment much last night since I got home late from visiting my auntie, who's been ill lately. This is a great shot. You really have a knack for capturing great skies.
wow - there's so much drama in this sky! really beautiful and filled with interesting intrigue. I'm sorry you are working so hard, my dear. but I do love how this turned out. that little glowy part on the bottom left (where I presume the set is setting) has a really magical feel to it. fav for me :)
you must have a rough work schedule, glad you got to get out and at least take a few photos:)
