What Gargoyles Do At Night

They make baby gargoyles! My husband was right - they do make mischief at night. Those who've been following me since July know that I fell in love with this gargoyle in an antique shop in Salem this summer but didn't buy him because he kind of creeped my husband out. So many people here encouraged me to buy him that I called the antique shop back and had him shipped to me.

This photo is for FaerieMoon (@clarissajohal) because she inspired a love for gargoyles and she is such a playful person and yet deep soul. The books seemed pretty perfect to since Clarissa is a writer.

Thanks for all your all your kind words and support yesterday. Today was a much better day.
He's found a comfortable home! Great tribute to Clarissa!

That's so funny you have two now. They look like they might start a book club. Maybe they invite there little friends over.

Each time I see these gargoyles.. my mind drifts to that poor creature in the Lord of the Rings.. who went crazy with lust for "his precious"... nice shot Laurie.

I am so glad you got him! I love gargoyles...I fell in love with them when I saw Notre Dame and then lately, read Hunchback of Notre Dame...He is so unique! Did he come with the little one? Here is my pic of mine I brought back from Paris...he is cute but I tried to make him look scary! http://365project.org/espyetta/365/2011-07-09

I read about this in an article my mother shared with me. Your words inspired us both to join the 365 Project. What a wonderful find this photo is. I feel like seeing it here has brought me full circle. I owe you, and my mother, a debt of gratitude for sharing your story. Just one week into the project and I already feel rewarded.
