It was a cloudy, but incredibly warm day today so I read our local daily newspaper out on our back deck and happened to look down and notice this heart in a vine that landed among the leaves. I took some photos, never expecting it to be my photo of the day.
Today was parent teacher conferences at my son's high school, and I sat there all afternoon in lines only to talk to 3 of his teachers. So I had to return again tonight to catch up with the rest. Spending 6 hours sitting in the high school hallways was a labor of love, and in the end, well worth it. So this is dedicated to my son.
Six hours...that's quite a long time! But you're right; we do what we have to because we love our kids. This heart was a nice find. It kind of looks like 2 hearts to me...a small one shadowed by a bigger one...you watching over him, I guess. Nice! :-)
Nice touch Laurie, and I remember those conferences. Some of the evenings were long. Back then we used to hold the conferences in the evening hours, and the nights would get long.
You're a dedicated mom--but wow, really? You don't make app'ts with teachers in HS? I have yet to experience that, we just started Middle school and that's scary enough, lol. Too many hormones zinging around, geez. The hearts you found are totally fitting for your day.
lovely dedication
hopefully the teachers said good things :D
