Thank you so much to everyone who commented and faved my Christmas tree! It meant so much to me to see it on the pop page, because I really love my Christmas tree every year.
These are my four favorite ornaments on the tree...all made when my kids were in pre-school. This one is just for me...and maybe a good idea for you teachers out there.
Such adorable ornaments, and so Cape Cod-y! I think every Cape Codder has similar ornaments on their tree... I know we still have ones my brothers made in elementary school.
Aww, what cute kiddos you have--I love these. I have a couple that my girls say look like junk to them but I remember them painstakingly making when they were little (:
oh I love these - they make me smile. We have some and they are my favorites as well (of course, they're of my kids, not yours). And, just to tell you, we don't have our tree yet but rest assured, I will share it when it arrives. . .just you wait! ;)
@pwallis Please make one of Pickle this year. She's the perfect age! And I promise you she will still love that ornament when she's 25 and will look for it on the tree every year. It shocked me how my three kids who are still around invited their their significant others (is that the right word for young people?) to decorate our tree and then showed them all their best memories, including these ornaments.
My kids actually made all of these at pre-school. You dip the edge of the shell in glue and then in glitter. Glitter is very important! If the shell is deep, a cotton ball is the perfect way to lift the photo to the forefront.
I remember these ornaments as being on my Christmas trees.... some of them long, long ago. Very sweet picture, Laurie. They surely have changed so much over the years.
