Flying Away by lauriehiggins

Flying Away

Some days I just want to fly away, and today was one of them. Maybe that's why I love seagulls so much...Deadlines all morning and then hours in the doctor's office/CVS because my son has strep throat. We watched the sunset through the trees as we drove home and I gave up on taking a new photo today. So this is the followup to yesterday's shot.
Grat capture

Stunning! The light on his tail feathers is beautiful, and I love that you stopped the motion of the crashing wave. Sorry today was less than stellar... I hope tomorrow is a better one for you!

@sabanford @ellen @melissapike Thank you for the kind hopes and wishes. I'm a Scarlett O'Hara kind of girl who always thinks tomorrow will be a better day, but Ellen's crystal ball made me more confident, because I kind of believe in magic too.

Aw, thanks, Laurie, for the comments and fave -- between my crystal ball the the message in the sand, you are destined to have a good day tomorrow! Hope your son's throat is less sore tomorrow too!

Sucha beautiful picture. When days get really tough and things seem a bit overwhelming, it's nice you have this hobby to not only take your mind off the negative, but to allow you to float away into the positive. I hope your sons feels better.

Great capture. Just like a body surfer, it hopped up and over the wave that it really didn't want to catch. Nice story these are telling.

O we are in sync. I knew something was up when you didn't make it to Vermont. Sounds like a very rough week when you were supposed to be having the complete opposite. Hope the boy is feeling better and that you get some you time.
