I think she could have chosen better for her first read...
This morning I heard a funny noise on chest in our entryway where we drop things (today dog leash and son's artwork). Chloe cat was carefully pulling a book from the row of books stacked there next to the mail basket. Today was so busy that I forgot I even took this photo until I uploaded. But this scene made me laugh twice, so it is definitely the best photo of my day.
Hey, all I'm going to say about this is that...we really do not know what they are doing when we are not home, and I think that you have probably seen something that was supposed to be secret and now we are all in danger. That is all. oh and way to go Laurie. Pffft.
Just kidding. This is adorable and I used to have a mostly white cat named Chloe. :-)
@5unflow3r I think you are right! I'm almost always home, since I work here, but I got up an hour early today because I had so many crushing deadlines. I caught this kitty pic minutes after I woke up. It's a slim volume. I'll bet she thought she could polish it off before I ever got out of bed. Gotta figure out how to change the time on my camera, because I did not wake up this morning at 9:44 p.m. yesterday. Or did I?
I love the curiosity of cats! We have a stray who currently sneaks into our living room and night and makes herself at home, then sneaks out in the morning. I'm hoping to domesticate her. Love this shot.
She's definitely up to something. If she wanted to just knock stuff off the counter for amusement, the paper and the leashes are much easier targets. But no, she is carefully selecting this book. Perhaps she is an early morning reader. In your house, she'd certainly never want for reading material.
Looks like she's pondering her choice - Julius Caesar might be a bit difficult for her! This is such an adorable shot - they sure get into everything, don't they!

Ours do that too, but usually with the kiddos homework, pens, erasers... :)
