Today I took photos of my dog, dead weeds, live vines, my neighbor's horses...and my third daughter. I have dozens of photos of this girl with her hand in front of her face when she sees my camera coming. I'm not sure why she cooperated today, but I'm glad she did. I wish I had more time to think about the background, but this was very spur of the moment.
That photo is really beautiful! I like the background and really, it you have taken too long, you wouldn't have captured this moment . I do think that this was the moment you needed to capture. Be happy; this is such an awesome portrait
@5unflow3r I had about a nanosecond of grace here. You guessed correctly. If I got too into it or too technical about it, she would have changed her mind.
Laurie, this is such a beautiful portrait. I agree with Paula. It was taken right when it needed to be. The background is awesome and it makes for such a crisp portrait so the focus is on her. She's beautiful and has a beautiful smile!
I wouldn't worry about the background. Perhaps in color, but in black and white the background works very well here. Nice portrait of a beautiful woman.
@webfoot That is exactly why I chose black and white. And I blame you every time I have a bad photo day, and bless you every time I have a good one. Everyone told me year two is the laid back, post when you want, post what you want year. I tried that, and it just didn't work for me. Then you posted your 400th (I think) photo from the actual day, and it reminded me of what I love best about this project. So, thanks to you, I'm working hard to stick to the mission. And thank you, for reminding me of why I'm still on 365 for year two.
What a beautiful portrait, and I think the background works great! You're blessed with a beautiful family, for sure! I can't believe I missed so many of your photos... I'm glad I got to catch up tonight!
ohh, she is gorgeous! nifty fifty........and it i love the result! it takes such great portraits. the background looks kind of swirled, which is actually kinda cool:)
Oh, and you can virtually curse me all you want. I won't feel it. I'm impervious to virtual curses. It's my super power.
