I've been feeling totally housebound from being so sick and then I spent the whole day today doing taxes. So these boxed in and drooping tulips seemed a bit perfect. Plus I just love the light and shadows - so symbolic of life.

I love this. It doesn't look like it was taken on the cape. The depth of the windows is very European. And this is almost my favorite stage of tulips. When they've gone full blown but still look so full of life. This is a definite fav for me Laurie. Please get better VERY SOON!
Sorry you feel as droopy as these fading tulips. Get better soon. But your light and focus on these flowers is really spot on. Good to find a subject that says exactly how you feel and you don't have to go very far to get it.
Only you could make fading tulips look so beautiful! Talk about adding insult to injury, though ... sickness and taxes in the same week?? You deserve a day at a spa! :-)
Wonderful shot! I was going to say the same thing as Sally... talk about a double whammy, sickness AND taxes. Blech! These tulips look about the same as I feel right now.
