Day is Done

My husband and I took our little dog for a walk on the beach tonight after dinner. She loves the beach but after Thursday she won't be allowed back until after Labor Day. The tide was flowing back in as we walked.

@webfoot Summer begins on Friday, and dogs are no longer allowed on the beach for the rest of the summer. Cape Cod is oh so proper about how we present ourselves to guests, and our local mascot is a black lab. Think big beautiful bounding dog running up to NYC tourists...oh my! My little gal is 11 pounds, so I may sneak her in, but we got admonished for having her on the outer beach on Mother's Day.
