Thank you so much to everyone who reached out to me, either on this website or by email during my break. You are all such special people in the world, and to me. Your support meant so much.
I never meant to take a whole month off of 365, but once I took a few days off, life just got in the way and I could not find my way back. Work heated up like crazy, and my granddaughter was here for the month of July. Those who know me well know how much this sweet child means to me. For the whole month of July, I had her for all the weekdays, which meant that I had to do my job at night after she went to bed. There are only so many hours in the day, so I choose her over 365.
She left early Sunday morning, and I've been too sad to post anything or comment until now. So I'm just going to post a photo tonight. I can't wait to see what all of you have been up to...
What a darling photo - by the looks of this expression, I'd say the feeling is mutual. You are a wise woman to take a break and prioritize. Hope you can find ways to cheer up in her absence. And do plenty of skyping!
You have a beautiful granddaughter Laurie, this portrait of her is lovely . Can understand why 365 went on hold I have had family to stay and have got behind, and doesn't the house seem empty when they go.
LH--I have missed you so much! I know the emptiness that you feel since Skylar left--it is huge and gaping. Stay strong, get your work done and welcome back to 365! Xoxo!
Love those soulful eyes, lovely smile, and charming freckles! :-)
I'm so glad you had the chance to spend all that quality time with Sky. Of course you had to set 365 aside for the duration. Your plate is always pretty full. Sometimes you have to let one thing slide to enjoy something else. I must say that lately I know exactly how busy life can get. Take a deep breath. Smell the roses, and occasionally take a picture of them too. Love you, cuz!
Welcome back, Laurie - you've been missed! Glad you enjoyed your time away with your granddaughter. This is just a wonderful photo of her - I hope you frame it! Such a beauty!
I'm so glad that you got to spend a whole month with Skylar. Even though you were missed here I certainly don't blame you for prioritising her over us. This is an awesome photo of her, I think it should be framed and up on the wall.
It's a perfect portrait of Skylar, Laurie. I had to fav it for the way you've captured her essence. She does have soulful eyes and those fabulous freckles.
Absolute darling shot - she looks a gem! Hope you're doing OK - kids...there's nothing quite like them to get yourself buried in the simplicities of life!
That is a gorgeous photo of Sky. As someone who has a lot of long-distance people, I understand what a roller coaster ride of emotions it can be. WElcome back! :-)
Welcome back, Laurie! As you can see, you were missed by MANY. I absolutely love this shot of Skylar. She is just precious. As I write this, I'm in the car in the middle of an 8-hour drive back to the Cape after picking up our grandsons to bring them back to our house for a week. I SO get that special grandchild bond.
So glad to see you back, Laurie. I have missed you even though I'm not as consistent as I used to be. You are always someone I look for on here! This is a beautiful shot of your granddaughter and I totally understand her importance more than posting a shot every day!
Love those soulful eyes, lovely smile, and charming freckles! :-)
