Bloom from a hosta...until the deer discover it and it'll be gone. It's right next to the house, so hopefully it'll be safe for awhile.
I'm feeling very blah about continuing this project and am trying to regroup and soldier on. Big emphasis on "trying". Thanks to those who continue to comment and find nice things about my photos. It means a lot to me.
So pretty - love how you composed this. I'm wrestling with a lack of motivation right now, too... I've come too far to give up - so I'm trying to remember to shoot things that I'd like to remember as I look back on this year, and to step out of my "normal" a bit.
This is so delicate and pretty. Love the vein lines.
I go through phases of feeling pretty ambivalent about the project, and there are days when it is only my stubbornness that stops me giving up. So far I've always been pleased that I did carry on.
Is it a time or an inspiration thing? I've found dabbling in some of the challenges has helped some times.
@humphreyhippo I think it's a little bit of everything. Sometimes I take lots of photos and spend a considerable amount of time in PSE only to have very few people comment or even look at the shot. It's discouraging sometimes.
I'm not very active on this site with commenting and/or participating in the discussions....I realize that's part of it. I'm a terrific lurker. ;)
I also know that compared to others on this site, my shots aren't that great or interesting. I think I've hit a wall/hurdle when it comes to improving my photography, at least in my eyes. I'm falling back into old habits and just going through the motions because I'm discouraged and my heart's not in it.
These flowers are so pretty. I like their shape and color. Beautiful capture. 8)
I'm taking it one day at a time too. It gets hard. But I hate not finishing something I have started, so I'm going to try and finish. I want to. My stubborn ass, and not my skills with the camera, might be the thing to save the day. XD
Your shots are interesting and look good. Otherwise I wouldn't be following you. 8P I hope you'll continue, but I'll understand if you don't. You have to do what you think is best for you. Getting comments is definitely a thing one has to work for. Most people do reciprocate so, if you want more comments, I think you really do need to comment on other people's work as well.
i was reviewing my early photos and noticed that i missed your shots. this is really beautiful. i love the pastel colors. i didn't know hostas bloomed. :-)

I have struggled at times too-- but I keep going and I am always glad I did :)
Hope to see some more shots!!

Enough of my pity party.... ;) Thanks for asking.
