budding flowers - I liked the fuzzy/spikey bud on this flower and the way the light bathed it

I have no idea what this flower was, noticed it while having a team lunch - my 70-200mm lens is a pretty handy macro lens when my macro lens was in the car. I've been awake since 3am it is now 11pm. This time tomorrow night I'll be on my way to work - midnight to 6 am shift - what a rotten way to spend my weekend

Oh, you poor thing, I would hate night shift, although I did used to work at night and didn't mind it. Maybe it's just the thought of it.
