Red Footed Booby Bird - from my balcony

I slept most of today - having been awake from 6am Saturday until 7am Sunday. I had hoped to get a couple of hours yesterday evening before my midnight start (having been at work all day) however, one of my staff collapsed and had a massive violent seizure. The other staff present who assisted were upset and I spent time making sure they were OK and then visited him in hospital prior to the midnight shift. Fortunately he seems to have made a full recovery and the night shift was uneventful. I feel like my weekend has been non-existent. Watching the birds fly by my balcony was the only relaxing time.
Megan, I looked at your photo, and thought: beautiful! Then I read your words and looked back at the picture and suddenly I kind of felt your weight... it is an amazing what a photo and a handful of words can convey.

@intrepidme thanks for your supportive words here, it is really appreciated and you've helped me let some of that weight go, to fly away with the birds, thanks

I don't recall you posting a booby in flight before. They look a lot more graceful in the air than they do on the ground. Keep your chin up, Meegs. You and your team are doing an important job that few understand or appreciate :)
